I can not Unsee what I have Seen

As we met an incredible, Kenyan women named Tina who serves the Lord by ministering to parents of children with special needs and single moms, she stated that she cannot unsee what she has seen. This statement rang true and pierced my soul as we served along side her. My group had the privilege of working with the kids that had Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities so that their mothers can have a time of fellowship and bible study. These kids were precious and this was a rare time for their moms to have a break. After 2 days of serving these kids, we visited the families in their homes. I came away, after hearing their stories of their trials and seeing their peril, with a renewed sense of gratitude for what I really don't deserve. Some of these mom's have been left by their spouses and have no way to make a living because there is no care for their special kids. We take for ganted our medical care and resources that we have that these families do not have. Many of these families are muslim and this is a huge opportunity to witness by serving and loving on them and their families. It was such a privilege to pray with them and I have been praying for them since we came home. I can see future trips to serve and minister to these families. The last thing to unsee was all the animals and landscape of God's creation.
