Going to Nicaragua for Amigos for Christ was amazing. Not only was the work we did significant, the organization had so much intentionality that I knew that the people we were trying to help were not just receiving a hand out, but a resource to better their lives and their families lives. The organization was wonderful, and they truly embodied the joy of all of the citizens that we crossed paths with, whether they were a part of Amigos for Christ or not. I think the hygiene of Chinandega is on track to improve greatly with the work being done, and prayer for continued resources and generosity would go a long way. I would strongly encourage anyone considering going on this trip to go! It is an amazing place and an amazing people to pour time and love into!
